Dean's TakeJan 22, 2026

Bug & Grime is a core part of my arsenal but I tend to use it more as a pre-wash than bug remover. I wish it was dilutable, but when I'm too lazy to mix up a citrus pre-wash, I grab Bug & Grime.

Expert Analysis

Uses pH 11 alkaline chemistry with anionic and nonionic surfactants to break down protein-based insects and road grime. The formulation maintains compatibility with ceramic coatings and most paint protection while delivering strong cleaning performance through high alkalinity.

Key Differentiators

  • Ceramic coating safe despite high alkaline strength
  • Ready-to-use formula with excellent ingredient transparency

Potential Concerns

  • High pH 11 alkalinity requires careful handling and PPE
  • May be too aggressive for frequent maintenance use
